After Parties at Love Supreme

At Love Supreme we have two incredible areas primed and ready for you to get down with your bad self and freak out.

By day The Arena showcases the best in new and left-field talent and by night it transforms to a cavernous club bathed in the glow of the Love Supreme neon.

The Blue in Green bar is our woodland party zone. Tucked away in the woods of Glynde Place this is the best kept secret at Love Supreme that doesn't stay secret for long!

Friday

The Arena - Jazz FM’s Funky Sensation

Inspired by Gwen McRae's uplifting 1981 jazz funk anthem, Funky Sensation starts off Love Supreme’s after-hours club nights, with Jazz FM DJs taking control of the sound system and spinning some classic Jazz/Funk, Disco, and Soul records for our now legendary opening night party, guaranteed to get you on your feet and into the groove of the weekend.

Plus, Chris Philips will present a very special celebration of the music of Prince with “Funky Sensation’s Purple Patch”, playing some amazing Prince tunes to close the night’s partying.

Blue in Green Bar - Mr Bongo’s Soundsystem

Mr Bongo’s soundsystem specializes in the eclectic, transporting the sound and flavour of Brazil to dance-floors and festivals around the world since the early 90’s. With an expertly curated collection of vinyl, expect to boogie all night to a unique and energetic blend of Samba, Bossa, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Soul, and Psychedelic sounds.

Saturday

The Arena - Dingwalls Session ft. Gilles Peterson and Patrick Forge plus Dayme Arocena (live)

Radio presenter, record collector, music producer, record label boss, and international club DJ, Gilles Peterson brings the best of his collection to The Arena at Love Supreme. Having put together over 100 compilation albums throughout his career and championing the releases of some of the best underground music, you will undoubtedly hear something new and exciting that will get your body moving. Bringing the essence of his classic Dingwalls sessions alongside Patrick Forge, the night will also see 22 year old Cuban sensation Dayme Arocena perform live.

Blue in Green Bar - Jazz Rooms vs. Soul Casserole

Facing off on Saturday night in the woods of Glynde place are two of Brighton’s finest purveyors of floor fillers. Soul Casserole serves up a healthy helping of full speed, funky beats ranging from Reggae to Ragga, and Blues To Hip Hop in a battle with Jazz Rooms, tastemakers with a repertoire of Funk, Disco, Afro Latin, Electro Jazz, and vintage flavours . Soul Casserole’s appetite for a spicy melange of classic records are sure to satisfy your tastes, while Jazz Rooms satiates your hunger for Cosmic Soul, Jazz Disco and Latin Beats with a Drum n Bass twist.

Sunday

The Arena - Nick Hollywood

Nick Hollywood remixes the finest swing samples from black and white silent movie clips of the 1920’s and 30’s for the 21st century. Nostalgically modern, this DJ set features pioneering proto-burlesque and alternative cabaret tunes. This excitingly twisted take on the golden era of swing will be sure to bring a dash of sophistication and class to the grass.

The Blue In Green Bar - Tru Thoughts Disco

Tru Thoughts, innovators of all things modern with a soul, jazz, and funk edge are coming to Love Supreme with their infectious assortment of grooves, hosting their disco in the Blue in Green Bar. Quickly earning their title as one of the best independent labels in the U.K., Wrongtom and J-Felix are once again your guides through Funk, Hip Hop, Soul, Electro, Jazz, Latin, Reggae, and Afrobeat, with a special guest live PA from HarleighBlu.
