First wave of artists announced for Love Supreme

Headlining on Saturday night will the incomparable Grace Jones. Joining her that day is the stunning Lianne La Havas and keeping you partying late into the night will the legendary DJ and broadcaster Gilles Peterson who bring his seminal Dingwalls Sessions with Patrick Forge to The Arena.

The main stage on Sunday will see multi Grammy winner Burt Bacharach close out a bill that also includes queen of electro swing Caro Emerald, soul superstar Kelis and the classic Average White Band

The Big Top on Saturday will see a live debut and UK exclusive from a brand new trio featuring three jazz legends John Scofield, Brad Mehldau and Mark Guiliana. Also appearing will be virtuoso bassist Stanley Clarke, trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf playing music from his amazing Red & Black Light album and one of the finest vocalists in modern jazz Cecile Mclorin Salvant.

Sunday’s Big Top see’s Melody Gardot grace Glynde Place for the first time since 2013 and THE hottest new name in jazz, Kamasi Washington, makes his Love Supreme debut.  Gogo Penguin will also return, playing new music from their Blue Note debut Man Made Object.

Also appearing across the weekend are soul wunderkid Jacob Collier, electro swing stalwarts The Correspondents, UK jazz legend Liane Carrol, the MOBO award winning Binker & Moses plus club nights from Tru Thoughts, a special White Mink DJ/AV show and SO much more.

Also announced are Anthony Strong, Femi Temowo + Engines Orchestra Seven, Swindle, Riot Jazz Brass Band, Beats & Pieces Big Band, Native Dancer, Partikel’s String Theory and Trope
