Smokey Robinson to Perform First UK Show in 15 Years at Love Supreme Jazz Festival
We couldn’t be more excited to announce that Smokey Robinson, the legendary King of Motown, will perform his first UK show in over 15 years at Love Supreme Jazz Festival 2025! Taking place from July 4th to July 6th at Glynde Place in East Sussex, next year’s festival is shaping up to be one of our best yet.
Smokey Robinson’s influence on music is truly unparalleled. From unforgettable hits like Tears of a Clown, Tracks of My Tears, and Being With You, to the countless songs he wrote for other Motown legends, Smokey’s career spans six decades of musical brilliance. This rare UK appearance is a once-in-a-generation chance to see a true icon live.
Joining Smokey on the 2025 line-up are some phenomenal artists who bring a mix of jazz, soul, R&B, and cutting-edge creativity. Fans can look forward to hearing the powerful vocals of En Vogue, the nostalgic grooves of Thee Sacred Souls, and the dynamic saxophone sounds of Branford Marsalis. Jazz enthusiasts will be thrilled by Stanley Clarke’s pioneering fusion, while Jamila Woods adds a poetic touch to the line-up. From WAR’s timeless funk and Sampa The Great’s genre-defying hip-hop to Arooj Aftab’s ethereal vocals and Lakecia Benjamin’s saxophone mastery, the line-up celebrates music in all its forms.
This is on top of the incredible Maxwell, who is headlining Sunday night in what will be his first UK performance in nine years and his only UK show of 2025.
