The captivating and expansive music of Terry Pack’s Trees takes the listener on a journey across lands and time. Led by Brighton-based composer and bassist Terry Pack (The Enid, Cozy Powell, Graham Bonnet, Steve Hackett, Claire Martin), and featuring a wide spectrum of instrumentation, Trees is one of the most exciting must-see musical projects based in and around Brighton. A truly inclusive and accomplished community band, Trees sees top flight professional players rub shoulders with excellent semi-pros and dedicated newcomers to bring Terry Pack’s vision of an enormous and vibrant sound to life. Imaginative, fresh arrangements of classic tunes fuse seamlessly with innovative compositions by Terry Pack and Hilary Burt. Trees’ eclectic music style ranges from epic cinematic themes to hard driving rhythmic and groove-based pieces with outstanding improvisation.
Trees has delighted audiences at Love Supreme, The Big Green Cardigan, The Verdict, The Brunswick, The Ropetackle, South Coast Jazz Festival, Brighton Open Air Theatre and a number of prestigious jazz clubs around the UK.
The 10-piece “Bonsai” version of Trees will be appearing on the Bandstand at Love Supreme 2019.
