The wait is finally over. The final Love Supreme line up is here.
Rounding off our headlining bill of Jamie Cullum, Laura Mvula, De La Soul and Gregory Porter is The Earth Wind & Fire Experience featuring five time Grammy award winner Al McKay. Playing a set of classic Earth Wind and Fire hits, this band has been the toast of the likes of Montreux Jazz Festival, Java Jazz Festival and many others and now we’re lucky enough to have them at Love Supreme. We’re also pleased to welcome acclaimed pianist and winner of the Thelonius Monk Interantional Jazz Prize, Kris Bowers who, after playing with Jose James for years, is striking out on his own with his fantastic debut solo record Heroes + Misfits.
We’re also pleased to announce our stage splits for the weekend so head here to see which stage your favourite artists are playing on.
Alongside our world-class bill we have a wealth of other music happening across the weekend. The Matua Sessions stage will play host on Saturday to a bill specially curated by Jazz FM Live and a club night by Vintage Remix presents Electro Blues. On Sunday, Blues & Boogie will bring the best up and coming blues players from around the world to Love Supreme chosen by Jazz FM’s David Freeman. We’ll have more info on artists in the coming weeks. The Matua Sessions will also play host each morning to special talks and will see the return of the Classic Album playbacks on Saturday and Sunday mornings that were such a highlight of Love Supreme 2013.
For those of you camping for the weekend and arriving on the Friday, the Arena will see some fantastic up and coming artists to warm you up for the weekend, followed by Jazz FM’s Funky Sensation taking you into the small hours. Elsewhere on Friday you can relax in the Grand Marnier bar or the Matua Sessions bar.
