We are excited to announce added two more heavyweight acts to this year’s line-up in the shape of legendary jazz-rock guitarist John Scofield who will be prforming with his Uberjam band and Grammy Award-winning singer Lalah Hathaway, the ‘First Daughter Of Soul’. Who will both be appearing in the Big Top on Saturday 5th July.
Hathaway, the daughter of Donny Hathaway, makes her first trip to the UK since winning the 2014 Grammy award for Best R&B Performance on Snarky Puppy’s ‘Something’, which has amassed over 2million views on YouTube thanks to Hathaway’s remarkable ability to ‘sing chords’.
Scofield is a living legend of jazz guitar, and over the course of a 40 year career he has played and collaborated with Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Mavis Staples, Billy Cobham, Medeski Martin & Wood and Jaco Pastorius to name but a few. He returns with his Überjam Band, named after 2002’s genre-mashing album ‘Überjam’.
