Matua Sessions Line Up Announced

Matua loves trailblazers – it took a gamble when it produced the very first Sauvignon Blanc in New Zealand 40 years ago, a move that revolutionised the wine world. In a similar vein, it’s now providing a platform for musicians who share that same pioneering spirit, with the Matua Sessions – a brand new platform for emerging artists at Love Supreme this summer.

This brand new 5th stage debuting at Love Supreme 2014 will play host to some of the best up and coming talent in the UK and beyond.

The stage opens on Friday night with Matua Session DJs until late so those of you coming for the weekend can setlle in nicely to this brand new addtion to Love Supreme.

Saturday is curated by Jazz FM Live, showcasing their picks of the ‘ones to watch’ jazz artists (including our Discovery competition winners Mimika) before  the reigns are handed over to Vintage Remix who present their Electro-Blues club night featuring DJ’s and live acts putting their 21st century twist on a perennial classic

On Sunday, Jazz FM’s Blues & Boogie take over the stage with the best in acoustic and full band blues which perfectly complements the stages tin hut styling before Jazz FM DJ’s round out the weekend.

The Matua Sessions stage is also the venue for this year’s classic album playbacks at 11am each morning. On Saturday morning we have a full playback and discussion of Zakair Hussain’s ‘Making Music’ and on Sunday it’s the turn of Miles Davis’ ‘Kind of Blue’.
